Invading Coron 4: Best part of our Island Hopping

From Bulungan Beach we went next to Kayangan Lake. Dubbed as the cleanest Lake in Asia, this is one of the most visited site in the area. As per my research prior to my trip, this place is having the most expensive entrance fee within the Coron Islands Loop costs P200 while others are just P100 each. Sounds steep but you will realize it's all worth it once you witnessed its beauty.
Entrance to the famous Kayangan Lake.
One needs to venture 100 steps up and 200 steps down for you to reach the famous lake. And they are no ordinary steps. It comes with various heights so you need to hike carefully.
Stairway to heaven. :)
As we marched halfway with the first 100 steps, I felt the tension on my legs as it started to ache due to the venture we had with Mt Tapyas the day before. But when Kuya Edwin told me that we are about to reach the picturesque spot, I felt that the excitement gave me energy to walk myself with strength.  Few more stride, we saw a waiting shed which made me felt the exhaustiveness and I thought, I really need a moment to stop. So my group have decided to rest and catch our breath for a short while. Few minutes later, our boatman asked me to ascend towards a humongous rock without telling me why but I obliged, wondering. Then I found the answer.
The picturesque Kayangan Bay.
Living in the portrait.
I was speechless when I saw this. I had a taken a moment before I was able to speak, called my group to follow me on where I stand and witness the scenery. Seeing this is priceless. Never thought a place like this exists. I remembered what I have said few months back that the photos from the website were just edited to beautify this spot, and again, I was wrong. It was like I am standing in front of a huge and perfect portrait It took us a while before we have decided to leave this haven.

The path down is even harder. Rocks are slippery and sharper. One wrong step and you can badly hurt yourself. But when we have reached the bottom, another paradise registered in my eyes. It was the cleanest and most beautiful  Kayangan Lake in the Philippines! Wooooowwwwww! ☺

I hurriedly went down and as I go closer, the water becomes clearer on my sight. I could see the rock formations underneath. It was truly amazing!

Closer view of Kayangan Lake.
I am a person who loves bodies of water but does not swim much. But this place is different. Water is so inviting as I couldn't help myself jumping in WITHOUT a lifevest. And man! Ang lalim! It took me few seconds before I afloat myself on the surface, hahaha! Few more strokes and I stopped. I have stayed on one side watching those little sword-like fish gathering around me. Good thing I have brought a waterproof casing for my camera, I had the chance to take pictures of them including some rock formations in the water.

When I submerged myself on my first jump. =p Ang Lalim!
This is the best part of my Coron Trip. I don't mind if I wasn't able to reach the beach nor have seen the corals earlier in my tour. Having been in this place made me satisfied with every single pesos I have paid for. If I would be given a chance to go back in Coron, this will still be included in my itinerary and will highly recommend it to everyone.
SwordFish?
Rock formations.
After 2 hours of staying here, our boatman called all of our attention as it's already time to go back to the bay to eat our lunch. Oh yes! They will be the one to prepare our meal while we spend time enjoying this paradise. Mga donya lang?! We have needed to hike 300 steps back to the port and when we arrived, they immediately prepared our feast. When all are set, we started to eat. Food are simple but this is the best set of freshly cooked fishes I have eaten in my life. I was SO full when I finished mine. Sarap!
Set of our lucnh.
Sadly, all has to end. We had to bid goodbye to this paradise as it's time that we back in town.
Goodbye paradise
